Are you a registered NDIS provider?

Yes, we are a registered NDIS provider and are able to provide services to NDIS participants who are self managed as well as those who have support coordinators or who have package management through the NDIA. We work closely with Plan Managers and Support Coordinators to ensure that your needs and expectations are met. We also understand that you may wish to also have communication directed through yourself and are passionate about ensuring your plan is managed your way.

Do you support non NDIS clients?

The simple answer is YES!

If you do not have an NDIS, ISP or other funding available, there are some additional options available to you.

You can access our support by covering the costs yourself, accessing an aged care package or insurance such as TAC or Health Insurance.

In addition, if you have a chronic health condition, it is possible to access Government subsidised services through your GP. To access this service, you need to make an appointment with your GP and ask them if you are eligible to access the Enhanced Primary Care (EPC plan) program for Occupational Therapy. Your GP will then determine if you are  eligible, and if so, will refer you to an occupational therapist.

If at this point you wish to be seen by us, please ask your GP to address the letter of recommendation to "Reclaim Therapy" Po Box 242 Montrose Victoria 3865 or Fax: (03) 8677 9987 or email at referral@reclaimtherapy.com.au

Email is also appropriate however many GP's prefer not to email. The GP may also hand you the letter directly which you will need to pass on to your therapist in your first appointment. Whilst this program will not cover the Occupational Therapy Services completely, it will provide access to a reduced cost of services to you.

Where are you located?

The Reclaim Therapy team serve in the East, Outer East, North East and South East area of metropolitan Melbourne, as well as the eastern rural urban fringe. The team are passionate about ensuring quality care is available no matter where someone may live and encourage you to contact us should you wish to discuss the possibility of working with us if you live outside of the areas mentioned.

What hours are you available?

We have listened to our clients, and understand that taking more time off from work, or other life priorities for appointments can be a challenge. So that you can balance life's demands, or have a support person present, we offer a wide range of appointment times across the week. This includes appointments during business hours, as well as after hours and weekends at no additional cost.

Do we need to go to a center to access Reclaim Therapy services?

We are focused on learning about youyour needs and your world. As such we find that meeting in a location such as a clinic or office often is not the best way of learning about what you require. Therefore, our services are tailored to explore your needs in the setting in which you need assistance, whether this is home, work, school or somewhere else. In other words, to ensure you get the best care possible - we come to you. We note that sometimes it is not always helpful to meet at home, particularly if you are the main carer and need to speak confidentially. If this is the case, please let us know and we will work out a solution that fits with you.

Your webpage mentions a complimentary phone consultation. What is that?

Sometimes finding the right support can be like putting a puzzle together without the picture on the box...therefore, so that we can ensure we are the right service for you (and vice versa), we offer a free phone consultation prior to booking an appointment.

This phone consultation can vary in length, up to 20 minutes. We value your time and understand the importance of matching the right therapist and services to you.... and sometimes, we are able to identify a different service which may be a better fit for you.

At the conclusion of this consultation, an estimate of costs and appointment schedule is explored so you have all the information available to help you make the best decision for you.

I know I want your service, do I need to have a phone consultation?

We get most of our business from word of mouth referrals. As such many of our new client's don't feel that they need to speak with us prior to booking an appointment, or they are happy for their case manager's to book on their behalf.

This is more than fine. In this case, we will either organise the fist appointment by phone or email- depending of course on what works best for you.

Can you help us if we are trying to get an NDIS package or other funding?

Negotiating the NDIS maze is certainly a challenge. A challenge that can be all the more difficult if the right documentation is not available. At Reclaim Therapy, we are able to complete assessments and write reports which explain and detail the level of support you or your family member may require to live a life of quality, value and meaning.

These reports are then often used to support requests for additional funding or services and have been used to justify Plan Review's, carer supports, equipment requests and home modifications (Assistive technologies).

Do you provide support for clients / participants of other funding sources?

We work with a wide range of funding bodies, insurance companies and government funded programs. We also work with individuals who seek occupational therapy services and cover the cost themselves. As each person's situation is unique, we are able to explore the options available to you in your complimentary phone consultation, or via email.
